Angela, who could not have exuded big sister energy more if she tried, passed over the rainbow bridge today, and while I am sad, selfishly, I know she’s been ready for years. Our last visit was just as connected as any of our lunch outings back in Buffalo, and I’ll be thankful to have had an awesome goodbye day.
My heart goes out to her family, and her friends, and especially her husband, my best friend and brother for 30 years.
We are all still too young to be losing friends, let alone wives, husbands, or partners. And while it feels at the moment like the world is uncaring and unkind to steal such a soul away from us, I continue to attempt to be grateful for the time we shared with her, and hopefully in turn made her time on earth meaningful as well.
RIP Ang, did enough here, you deserve a break.

The day started off with a harsh loss. My best friend and motherly companion Angela Llano Lambrix lost her long battle with cancer.
She was a mother, mentor, wife, teacher, and friend to all, one who always kept the door unlocked and arms wide open, no matter what life threw at her. From meals together, events, long talks in the living room over coffee, our conversations always felt they could go on forever; never felt it was enough time. She was someone who inspired me to be better, live life with purpose, and challenge things even if they made you uncomfortable. Everyday was a new day that brought new opportunity.
While the hardships knocked her down, she always kept her spirits up. She put up a tough fight until the very end with endless support from her loved ones.
Life is short. Cherish it always. My heart is broken and I’ll always be grateful for the decade and a half we got to have together.

You encouraged me to go back to school, and when I needed a reference for the nursing program, you provided one. I remember needing 3 work references to get my job as an aide at the hospital, and out of the 3 people I told and asked to answer their phones, even if they didn’t recognize the number, you were the only one that did. I was told to prepare my references next time, that it was unprofessional to only have 1 out of the 3 respond. But I don’t think they realized how few people I had in my life that cared. You always saw the best in me, and wanted the best for me. I’ll always be grateful for you, and you’ll be a part of my story forever. Forever my favorite MOD back in the TOPS days. I looked forward to our Sundays closing with Miles. Our quick little office breaks with our subs from the carry out, or you doing some math on how much your insurance would go up if we were to get into an accident going on a fast food run with your vehicle 😅. You made those work days bearable. I absorbed a lot of how you carried yourself there into my supervising days with my last job, and I’d be will to bet my staff would be thankful for you too because of that. I’ve always looked up to you with how you carried yourself, your drive, the love you emanate, and mostly your amazingly positive outlook no matter the circumstances. Inspirational is the word that comes to mind when I think of you. I’ll forever be grateful for the guidance you gave me back then and the support I had felt from you. The pure excitement you had for me when you learned I was pregnant with Teagen. I am happy was was able to give you those baby snuggles when she was first born. I have only ever felt warmth from you. Angela, you have forever left a mark on my life. One I have and will continue to think about from time to time. It is clearly apparent just how wonderful and positively impactful of a human you are.
